MAK — Multiple Activation Key
Category: activation
A Volume Licensing activation method where each device activates directly against Microsoft over the internet. Each activation burns one count from the key's pre-paid pool — when the count hits zero, the key stops activating new machines until you request more.
Best for: laptops that travel, isolated networks, and small deployments below the KMS threshold.
