RDP — Remote Desktop Protocol

The wire protocol used by Remote Desktop Services and the Windows "Remote Desktop Connection" client. RDP is built into every edition of Windows — Pro and above can act as a host, Home only as a client.

Up to two simultaneous administrator RDP sessions are allowed on Windows Server without RDS CALs (the "Remote Desktop for Administration" mode).
